Luis Alberto Rojas is a remarkable milonguero style Argentine tango dancer, whose passion and dedication to tango is seen in every step he makes in life and in tango salons "milongas". When he dances, every cell of his body and the soul merges into a divine unison of togetherness with his dance partner, music, and other dancers on the dance floor. His dance is filled with love, passion and adoration for the traditional Argentine tango.
As a tango teacher, he is a true maestro of the close embrace style who has an in-depth understanding of the connection, sensations and the dynamics of the tango-milonguero. Nowadays, Luis Rojas is one of the iconic figures of the traditional tango.
Born in Mar Del Plata (Argentina), Luis started learning tango at age of 8. His professional career as a tango dancer and teacher also started in Mar Del Plata. He then moved to Buenos Aires where he taught and performed at some of the most popular milongas: La Nacional, Tangueros Aires, Milonguito, El Cachirulo, Y Bailarin Porteno, and others. Since 2009 Luis has been touring in Europe: Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Netherlands, Italy, Russia, New Zealand, and the United States. He has also been a DJ for many years at the milongas in Buenos Aires, Europe and the USA. In 2010 he participated as a special guest for the bicentennial Argentinian celebrations in Vienna and in the same year, he taught and performed in several Brazilian cities. In 2011 he was a special guest at the Festival Milongueando 2011 in Buenos Aires. In May of 2013 he was runner-up in the category Tango Track of Campeonato de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (Metropolitan).
